High Security Options
sFTP is a secure FTP server, providing customers with a “digital storage bin” to hold vast amount of data, especially large data files. Customers can create their own folder structure, just like on a local storage device. Access to the FTP server is securely possible via any native or browser based sFTP client. This server is available as a hosted service or a dedicated hosted VM in our data center or as a pre-configured VM for installation in a customers local data center. In our hosted sFTP server environment the server side administration is completely pre-configured for the user’s requirements and is therefore a plug and play environment to store data of any kind. This type of server is ideal for backup and/or external storage tasks but not suited for collaborative shared storage pools.
Collaborative Options
Our Nextcloud powered Collaborative Storage Option runs on a server where all your files (data) live. It protects your data and gives you access to then from your desktop or mobile devices. Through Nextcloud you can also access, sync and share your existing data on your FTP drive at the office, a Dropbox or a NAS you have at home or in the office.
Avoid costly and disruptive migrations and retain your existing, compliant work flows and processes while enabling your employees to collaborate and work efficiently. Nextcloud unlocks corporate data silos, bringing together data from your existing storage systems in one seamless user interface. Your IT stays in control of the data thanks to powerful File Access and Logging capabilities. Nextcloud aligns with industry standards such as Clause 14 of ISO/IEC27001-2013 and related standards, guidance and security principles.
Our solution is built around combined assurance layers consisting of newly applied rich security features, applied best practices which are governed by policy and the design itself validated by industry standard testing processes. Nextcloud uses industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption for data in transfer. Additionally, data at rest in storage can be encrypted using a default military grade AES-256 encryption. Keys can be handled with the build in key management or you can opt for a custom key management for integration in existing infrastructure. As keys never leave the Nextcloud server, external storage systems never have access to unencrypted data. Nextcloud supports any existing storage solution, including object store technologies, keeping data under control of trusted IT administrators and managed with established policies.
Nextcloud works with industry standard SQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB for user and meta data storage. Nextcloud provides built in monitoring tools and integrates with existing MDM, DLP, event logging and backup tools, enabling existing tool chains to be used to monitor, back up and restore systems.
Thanks to the on-premise nature of Nextcloud and its ability to leverage existing data storage and database technologies, current security policies and governance processes can continue to be used to manage, control and secure operations with Nextcloud. Unauthorized users do not have access to your users data and can not interfere with regulated processes, keeping your IT department in control.
Nextcloud provides an effective plugin system that allows to extend the functionalilty of the system. One of these plugins is the LibreOffice based Collabora Online Suite. It supports editing your documents in real time with multiple other editors, showing high fidelity, WYSIWYG rendering and preserving the layout and formatting of your documents. Users can insert and reply to comments and invite others without a Nextcloud account for anonymous editing of files with a public link shared folder. NextCloud provides desktop clients for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iOS. With these you can keep one or more folders full of your photos, videos and documents synchronized with your server. Any file you add, modify or delete in the synced folders on your desktop or laptop will show up, change or disappear on the server and all other connected devices. Thanks to the client, you can work with your files even when you are not online! The desktop client will also notify you of activities on your private cloud. You can see a history of what happened with your files in the Activity overview.

DATiX Data Storage Security
DATiX Cloud Storage provides a secure platform with SSL encryption and user privilege management that controls access to corporate data. It provides server-based exeution where only encrypted screen, keyboard and mouse data traverse the network, ensuring that the actual data remain safe during administration tasls. The administrator is fully in control to assign user rights based on the status a user has within the IT infrastructure. The data pools on the servers can be encrypted and access to the server data pools is secure and encrypted.

DATiX Data Storage PoC Services & Licensing
Our registered resellers and commercial customers can lease short or long term demo accounts on our Demo Storage Cloud platform to create test scenarios for their own Cloud Storage based services. These demo accounts can then be used to create PoC (proof of concept) scenarios for specific customer projects. We help resellers and customers to create professional showcases at minimal cost with which they can test if a proposed cloud storage scenario suits their own business and their customers needs. On site PoCs can be arranged via our Quick Start Service Program.
